Early Christian and Medieval Roots of 21st Century Islamic Terrorism
by Gary Alley
As we all remember, on September 11th, 2001, four U.S. domestic flights were commandeered by nineteen Arab Muslim men. Two of the planes were flown kamikaze-style into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, imploding the American and international commercial hub as hundreds upon hundreds of people went to their deaths. Another hijacked passenger plane dive-bombed into Washington D.C.’s Pentagon, the paramount symbol of American defense and security, killing over 200.
The final plane, United Airlines Flight 93, was apparently cut short of its murderous mission to crash into the White House, theoretically, to assassinate President George W. Bush. A passenger uprising sent this fourth and final suicide plane plummeting into an isolated Pennsylvanian field killing everyone on board. In all, more than 3,000 people died on 9/11 due to the designs of terrorism.
The nineteen perpetrators of September 11th were linked and attributed to Al Qa’ida, a fundamentalist Islamic organization founded by Osama bin Laden, a Saudi Arabian millionaire. Prior to 9/11, bin Laden was a wanted man and well known for desiring to eradicate Western-Christian presence and influence in Muslim lands and to shatter the Pax-Americana which has governed a democratic-aspiring world during the latter part of the 20th century.
